This fall-flavored cannabis cocktail is about to be your new go-to drink this season. From cozy nights by the fire to festive gatherings, this THC mocktail recipe is the epitome of autumn with its warmth, flavor, and aromatic spices.

New England’s fall is like no other. Fresh cider donuts, apple picking, pumpkin spice, the vibrant colors changing – it’s iconic. But nothing screams fall more than a fresh apple cider.

Sipping a hot cup of cider by the woodstove on those chilly nights, fall and cider are practically synonymous, and there’s no better way to transition ourselves into the chilly weather season than by sipping on this THC-infused cannabis cocktail.

What is mulled apple cider?

Mulled apple cider, often referred to simply as “mulled cider,” is a warm and spiced beverage made from apple cider that has been heated and infused with a variety of aromatic spices.

The term “mulled” in the context of beverages like mulled cider or mulled wine refers to the practice of heating the drink with added spices and sometimes sweeteners. The process of mulling typically involves gently simmering the beverage with a combination of spices like cinnamon, cloves, and allspice, and often adding citrus fruits like oranges or lemons.

The heat helps to infuse the flavors and aromas of these spices and fruits into the drink, resulting in a warm, flavorful, and aromatic beverage.

How to Make the Best Mulled Apple Cider Cannabis Cocktail

In this Mulled Apple Cider Cannabis Cocktail recipe, getting high-quality ingredients is key. The most important aspects of this THC mocktail are the apple cider and the cannabis.

You can make your own apple cider (which makes your house smell like fall has permanently moved in) or buy fresh, local apple cider at almost any grocery store, farm stand, or apple orchard. Supporting local producers not only ensures a fresher product but also contributes to the local economy!

Next, you’ll need to make sure you have a good quality cannabis product to infuse your cannabis cocktail.

In this recipe, we’re using Sundrift’s Cinnamon Hard Candy. They are crafted with natural cinnamon oil and infused with 5mg of full-spectrum cannabis concentrate. These candies dissolve in your mouth, delivering a swift, subtle initial effect as they’re absorbed under the tongue.

However, they’re also great for melting down and incorporating into beverages. Sundrift also has plenty of other flavors to incorporate into other drinks if you want to get creative:

If you’d rather not melt down products, you can also try adding Cann’s Blood Orange Cardamom or Good Feels’ Flavorless Beverage Enhancer. You can always ask our budtenders here at Hennep in Provincetown before deciding, as they can help you make an informed decision when looking for substitutions or products to use in your cannabis recipes.

Once you’ve got all the ingredients you need, simply add everything, minus the cannabis, to a slow cooker or stock pot and wait for them to simmer.

When you’re ready to serve, add a hard candy to the bottom of your mug and top with slices of orange for a refreshing kick. You can take this drink with you in a travel mug while leaf peeping this year for the perfect pairing or bring it out for the next movie night.

Either way, you’ll be in that fall feeling.
